Recently, at a spiritual healing group, I was lucky enough to meet Dr Ellie Chadwick - researcher, therapist, retreat facilitator and gentle soul. We struck up a conversation about her fascinating work supporting women and I knew she would make a great guest for the Adventures of the Awakening Heart podcast, which, I hope you will agree, indeed she did.

Let me tell you a little bit about Ellie. Originally training in performance studies, her work bridges the worlds of academia, performing arts and embodied therapeutic practice. She has developed a unique methodology - Historically-Responsive Storytelling and, drawing on her own life challenges, has evolved this approach creating a therapeutic offering for women to explore the full complexity of their stories through body, voice, history and art. Ellie's company, Wanderess, run retreats in the UK and around the world, putting into practice her strong belief that (in her own words) 'through creativity we can heal, reclaim and reimagine our lives'.

My conversation with Ellie was a rich mix of the science and philosophy behind her work plus her own influences and inspirations and I loved that the heart entered the discussion several times. I hope you enjoy watching and you'll find links to discover more below the video.
